Graham Little
Graham Little is currently working as a freelance writer and broadcaster. He presents Gaelic Football and Rugby programmes on Setanta Sports in Dublin and also works as a reporter and presenter for UTV and U105 in Belfast. He also presents sports programmes for Sky Sports. He has written travel articles and features for a number of newspapers and magazines including The Sunday Times, The Irish Times, The Irish Examiner and The Belfast Telegraph. He is also currently writing a travel book and is available for TV and radio work, voice-overs, acting and is also an experienced compere and after-dinner speaker.
When he’s not working Graham likes nothing more than a challenge- some serious, some not so serious. Last year his New Year’s Resolution was to be crowned a world champion in something. After entering nine bizarre world championships all over the globe he finally achieved his ambition when he captained Ireland to the amateur title in the World Elephant Polo Championships in Nepal, the first time an Irish national team had secured entry to the event. He produced, directed, wrote and presented a half hour documentary called ‘Little Goes Large' for UTV about the Ireland team's adventures.
Graham worked full-time for UTV as a sports reporter/presenter from September 2002 until February 2006, during which time he won the Northern Ireland Broadcast Newcomer of the Year award and then the Northern Ireland Sports Broadcaster of the Year award. Before that he worked for eighteen months as a news and features writer at the Impartial Reporter where he won the IPR's Overall Media Newcomer of the Year Award.
He is a fitness fanatic and has trained with the Ireland rugby team and former world boxing champions Wayne McCullough and Brian Magee. His wide range of interests includes all sports, travel, history, literature, music and wildlife, and in the past he has played international rugby for Estonia; performed in both a rock band and a brass band; ran with the bulls in Spain; bobsleighed in Latvia; completed the Snowdon Mountain Marathon in Wales; and partied at the world’s best festivals all over the globe (he has now visited 51 different countries!). Graham has also represented Ireland in Sumo Wrestling and is the Chairman of Sumo Ireland, the governing body of the sport here.
He was educated at Portora Royal School in Enniskillen and studied English and Sports Science at Loughborough University. Graham now lives in Belfast.
